Because of the intense interpersonal nature of an audit, quality auditors must have excellent interaction skills.

This course teaches auditors how to build rapport quickly and efficiently using Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Using NLP in the interactions taking place during an audit, interpersonal communications are greatly improved. When relationships are built quickly, auditors are able to gather high quality data. The application of NLP to an audit interaction gives the auditor’s a powerful technique to add to his/her tool box.

Learning Objectives

Unit 1: Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming

  • Understand where NLP skills can be used in the audit process
  • Define the term Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
  • Describe the history of NLP
  • Understand the most critical aspect to communication

Unit 2: Beliefs in Neuro Linguistic Programming

  • Understand how beliefs can either help or hinder the audit interaction
  • Identify the meaning of beliefs used in NLP
  • Analyze some of the self defeating beliefs you might have when conducting an audit
